Winter Protection · Cape Cod

Salt does more damage
than a plow ever will.

Road salt gets into seams, fittings, and the underside of every panel on a car driven through a New England winter. Oil-based undercoating and ceramic protection both stop that damage before it starts — the only question is how long you want the protection to last.

Winter Rust Protection

Oil undercoating, by the application or by the season

A penetrating oil-based undercoat gets into seams and joints that a spray-on rubberized coating never reaches, and it keeps working all winter instead of flaking off.

Why It Matters

What salt actually does to a car

It gets where spray can’t

Rubberized spray undercoating sits on the surface. Oil-based protection penetrates seams, fittings, and joints — exactly where rust actually starts.

It doesn’t stop working mid-winter

One application fades over months of driving through slush and salt. A 3-month plan keeps the protection current through the worst of it.

Ceramic protects what you can see

While undercoating protects what’s underneath, a ceramic coating keeps salt spray and road grime from etching into your paint above it.

Questions

Winter protection FAQ

Do I need undercoating if my car already has factory rust protection?

Factory coatings wear down over years, especially on a car already driven through a few Cape Cod winters. Oil-based undercoating adds a fresh layer exactly where salt actually attacks.

What’s the difference between the single application and the 3-month plan?

A single application protects for one season but fades as it’s driven through. The 3-month plan reapplies through the heaviest salt months so the protection never lapses.

Does the ceramic package include paint correction?

No — the $399 package is wash, clay, and ceramic application. Polishing or paint correction for swirls or oxidation is quoted separately once we see the car.

How often does the ceramic coating need to be redone?

The package is built around annual reapplication to keep the coating performing through a full year of Cape Cod weather.
