Recent Sales: A 1971 Land Rover and a 2008 MINI, Both Gone in Weeks

Two very different vehicles, sold within weeks of each other. Worth breaking down why, because the pattern applies to almost anything we list.

1971 Land Rover Series III

A genuine restoration project with real collector appeal. The listing ran with a full photo set — engine bay, undercarriage, interior, every angle a serious buyer wants before driving out to see it in person. Priced against real comparable sales, not a guess, and it moved.

2008 MINI Cooper S

A daily-driver price point, but the same principle applied: complete documentation, honest photos, and a number set from actual market data rather than what the seller hoped it was worth. It sold at a fair price to a buyer who didn't need to negotiate hard, because the listing had already answered their questions.

The Pattern

Neither sale was luck. Full photo documentation, accurate pricing, and patience through the first few weeks are what actually move a car — not lowering the price at the first sign of buyer hesitation. Both of these were priced right from day one and both sold without a discount.

Thinking About Consigning?

Full media, accurate pricing, and a process built to actually sell your car — not just list it.
